Injury Prevention and Monitoring

Up to 25% of people do not get to the start line of endurance events – why not minimise the chances of injury ruling you out. A bespoked package is a sensible investment for all levels of competitor, and can be individualised to your specific needs.

What is involved?

  • An in depth consultation and discussion about your sporting and injury history, future goals and practically available time for training etc.
  • A comprehensive physical assessment including movement, strength (using the latest technology typically only found in elite sport) and, where appropriate, sports specific physical skill and function.
  • A discussion on the findings of the initial consultation and potential ways to minimise your chances of injury.

Training and lifestyle monitoring

Monitoring training load is crucial in preventing injury, however so are other variables such as sleep and fatigue etc. Our innovative approach means that we can track specific markers based on a few simple questions and highlight to you when you ‘enter the red zone’ and may be at risk of an overload injury.

This unique service brings methods normally only available in elite sport to all.

You will also get a regular emailed report which tracks your short and longer term data, and gives a valuable insight into your training load, progression and any potential increased injury risks.

Strength and Conditioning

Our strength and conditioning consultant can offer a range of services which will ensure you have a bespoked programme which is specific to your sporting needs, and also fits in with your individual circumstances.

Programmes can be designed for in season and off season, and will also take into account factors such as whether you have access to a gym or not.

Physiotherapy and phone support

Whilst our programmes are designed to minimise the chance of injury occasionally accidents do happen. In the event if sustaining an injury then we can provide ad-hoc treatments or you can opt to pay a monthly subscription which would then give you access to physio as required, and telephone support to advise on appropriate management. This can be looked upon as similar to an insurance policy…you hope you don’t need it but when you do it is there for back up and peace of mind.

Training Plan Design and Review

Many perfectly good training plans for different events are available online and in magazines. We are happy to review an existing plan with you to see how it can best be fitted into your life, or we can use our own expertise and range of experts to design you a bespoked plan tailored around your personal goals and lifestyle etc.
